a.	To whom may I go in this matter?	Zu wem darf ich in dieser Angelegenheit gehen?
b.	Who would you like to talk to?	Mit wem möchten Sie sprechen?
c.	Who does this young man work for?	Für wen arbeitet dieser junge Mann?
d.	Who is it about?	Um wen handelt es sich denn?
e.	Who are you speaking of actually?	Von wem sprechen Sie eigentlich?

2. Wovon spricht die neue Sekretärin? What is the new secretary talking about?

a.	What are you writing with, pencil or pen ('ink')?	Womit schreiben Sie, mit Bleistift oder mit Tinte?
b.	What do you need this information for?	Wofür brauchen Sie diese Auskunft?
c.	What does he mention ('write of') in his letter?	Wovon schreibt er in seinem Brief?
d.	What is it about?	Worum handelt es sich?

3. Hoffentlich ist diese Auskunft genau. I hope this information is accurate.

a.	I hope the book is good.	Hoffentlich ist das Buch gut.
b.	Is the typewriter new?	Ist die Schreibmaschine neu?
c.	Unfortunately the fountain pen is broken.	Leider ist der Füller kaputt.

6. Die deutsche Sekretärin legt gerade den Hörer auf. The German secretary is just hanging up (the receiver).
